Vangie Jones - REALTOR®
I began my working life with the City of Detroit in the Parks and Recreation department. After several years I realized one day that I was a glorified parking lot attendant which really wasn't tapping into my full potential, so I enrolled in Wayne County Community College Detroit and graduated with my AAS as an Occupational Therapy Assistant. I found the greatest satisfaction in being a therapist was the ability to help people as they recovered from an accident or illness that had disrupted their lives. For me to witness the wonder and pure joy that came across someones face when they discovered that they could do something that they had envisioned as impossible was truly rewarding.
I discovered a passion for sales when I took on a second job, ironically enough, to save for a downpayment for my first home. I began working at JL Hudsons (now known as Macys) as a Salesperson in the Mens Shoe department. I discovered that I enjoyed the interactions with people and that through active listening I was able to ensure that my clients needs were met.
After 20+ years in the healthcare field I decided that it was time to pursue a different career, I have been an investor in real estate for a few years and now I am channelling my passion for homes into a career as a Realtor. Through the use of: persistence, professionalism, my strong work ethic, and results-driven approach to work; I am motivated and committed to being the best choice for my clients in their quest for where they want to reside, be it there dream home, downsizing or upsizing my one goal is to make the process smooth for my clients.
As a Realtor®, once again I will have the ability to assist people with that sense of wonderment when they walk into that one home, sit at the closing table and receive the keys to what may have been, at one time, just a dream. Let me help you and your family find where you want to reside.
